Health, Relationships and Sexuality Education

Thank you to all the whanau who provided feedback on the implementation of Health, Relationships and Sexuality Education at Te Wharau School. The following statement has been constructed with your input. 

Statement 2025-2027

"Te Wharau School is committed to developing an age-appropriate Health, Relationships, and Sexuality Education programme for our students. We recognise that our community values this area of education. The programme will only address areas identified as most important by our community, including friendships and positive relationships, managing emotions and wellbeing, growth and developmental change, personal and digital safety. We will be sensitive to the diverse opinions within our community, addressing all topics in an age-appropriate manner. Our goal is to foster open communication between the school and whānau, and we plan to provide information to families so that they can continue these important discussions at home."
